Girls & Boys Intermediate 8's This grade is a training grade to develop the ability of new players or players of average skill emerging from the Junior 8 Grade. It is suitable for first-season players. Year 5 to 7 pupils. No children who are in Year 8 or above are permitted to play under any circumstances. Games are 2 x 18 minute halves Games are generally played on artificial surfaces which are a approximately one-half of a full-sized turf, although probably a little smaller. The Club Committee has decided to select the Intermediate 8 teams on the basis that they will be equally balanced in skill level and a large emphasis on placing the children in teams with their own age group peers. We believe the teams will not be disadvantaged thru mixed ability grouping and at this age the focus is really on participation, forming social groups and creating a great enjoyment of being in a team sport.
